Micro-Commerce Justice Campaign

The Micro-Commerce Justice Campaign is comprised of a series of internationally-based individual projects. The goal of each project, and the overall goal of the Campaign, is to bring economic justice to citizens of developing countries. To achieve this, the Campaign has established a process and an infrastructure which enables small businesses to receive financing and to conduct business in the global marketplace in a fair and legal manner.

By allowing people who are culturally, economically, and geographically isolated from the established marketplace and infrastructure to earn a living, the Micro-Commerce Justice Campaign will be directly supporting the economies of these villages and countries. Stronger economies lead directly to more stable political environments, better healthcare, and better education systems.

Currently, the IBO is in collaboration with the Institute for Global Leadership (IGL) at Tufts University through its EPIIC and EMPOWER Programs. The IGL/IBO collaboration finds the IBO’s Micro-Commerce Justice Campaign front and center teaching workshops on micro-commerce, hosting panel discussions, and leading the Micro-Commerce Justice Contest.

The Micro-Commerce Justice Initiative’s goal is to establish online legal and financial infrastructure to support commerce in developing nations. In addition, IBO and its partners must provide seed funding and must identify business managers and partners to fill out every step in the business process including: e-commerce tools, online sales and marketing, micro loans, cybercrime prevention, Online Dispute Resolution infrastructure, online contracts, online payment systems, distributors, products, and many more fields.
