InternetBar is seeking to alleviate this problem by allowing a person to have their identity verified and giving buyers and sellers the ability to choose to enter into business with individuals who have shown solid proof of identity. IBO is thus seeking to allow individuals to apply for identity verification and to receive a corresponding profile in much the same fashion that a person in the U.S. applies for and receives their driver's license (through proof of identity). Each area of the world has different standards for verification so IBO would likewise have different processes for verifying different individuals (or groups) from different areas of the globe. These profile pages would be tied into a ratings system and if an individual does not deliver the product, good, or payment that they promised they can receive poor ratings or even have their account with us suspended. This adds another layer of safety to the online transaction process and unlike many of the current ratings systems available - a user cannot simply apply for a new identity with us in the same way they can create a new username.
