AFFILIATESWhat is our Affiliates Program?InternetBar.org desires to collaborate with others in many areas to achieve its mission. This is a core principle - to engage as many stakeholders as possible in our efforts in order to achieve consensus as we shape a system of justice which is accessible to all. We have set up a program to identify Affiliates with whom we work on specific projects and programs. Who we have worked with:Our first Affiliate was the University of Massachusetts's and its National Center for Technology and Dispute Resolution. Together, we have collaborated on three online Cyberweek programs which have attracted hundreds of online participants from over 40 countries. In addition, we are collaborating on the development of standards for systems of online justice. Other affiliates include OpenWorld, Inc, with whom we have started the Initiative on Cyberlaw for Equity and Economic Growth to open telework marketplaces in Kosovo, and, to launch a Peacetones project to bring e-commerce to frontier economies; Bentley College , where we developed two online seminars together with international scholars to discuss micro-commerce for the poor which addressed legal/ technology/business/ ethical and social issues of the 21st Century; Tufts University's Institute for Global Leadership, where we launched our Microcommerce Justice Campaign , in an effort to create a social entrepreneurial poverty alleviation program; and Boston University, where we are bringing leading scholars to assist them in the development of their Internet Technology and Law Practice Program. Get Involved!Send us an e-mail at mail@internetbar.org if you want to start an affiliate program or partnership -- or with any general commentary or if you have any project-specific suggestions, work opportunities, or are willing to offer time/resources please send an e-mail to gillneer@internetbar.org with the project that you are interested in as the subject line. Also we are always accepting monetary donations to keep these efforts moving forward, and sometimes even to just maintain what we have already created. So please feel free to give a general donation here. |
